My Myford ML8 lathe can be used for quite large woodworking projects. It has attachments for making standard lamps and I have made a bread board and rolling pin with it. Most of the things that I make with it however are less than an inch and a half in diameter.

It also doubles as a 12 inch disk sander, a grinding wheel and has the capability for non ferrous metal turning.
